The first outing from the Cam'ron-led Diplomats, "Diplomatic Immunity" (Roc-A-Fella), enters The Billboard 200 at No. 8 on sales of 92,000 copies. Cam'ron's "Come Home With Me" arrived at No. 2 last June and has sold just over 1 million copies to date.

It was only ever certified Gold, and it was a double disk which counted as 2 sales. For Platinum they only had to sell 500k in 2003-Now, Maybe they didn't certify it… Interesting.

For comparison G-Unit's T.O.S album sold 102k (350K Overall) in 2008 and its considered a flop, MMG's Self Made Series all sold about 200k a peice from 2011-2013

it's interesting because you see a lot of FAKE hypebeast dipset stans these days, it's as i expected, it's just like the cacs who wear wu-tang gear to seem "cool" or "down".

Dipset never really had a fanbase that buys their retail shyt, like that. Anyone that tells you different is a revisionist.

Considering half the songs were out already on mixtapes and it's a certified classic, this thread can fukk off.

Mmg wish it had the influence that album had.

G-Unit & MMG had records all over mixtapes and they still moved decent units for their respective times. :ohhh::dwillhuh::patrice::mjpls:

Diplomats Volume 1-4 had full songs that were on the retail albums. Probably one whole disc was already mixtaped.

What Get Rich or Die Trying and Beg for Mercy songs are featured on the mixtapes that came before? Those GUnit mixtapes were mainly raps over other people's beats and then if anything 1 or 2 songs from the album.

had 7 DI songs alone

I had DI 1 and 2, but they were both bootlegs. Those and the Blueprint 2 were my first encounters with bootleg albums.

the first few g-unit radios had songs from beg for mercy, HFM, The Documentary & GRODT. Candy Shop was on 2050.

But i see where you're coming from is was always 1-4 songs.
