To me, Paul and Juice have always been the tale of two different Three 6's - starting in 2005. Once "Stay Fly" came out and they tried to do MTV shows and pop features for 2-3 years their buzz got squeezed real quick and they had two different trajectories they could follow: do what Paul did, or do what Juice did. If you think about it, Paul just went back to what he/they probably would have done without Stay Fly anyway, meanwhile Juice found some other moves to make.

It helped that at the same time (05-09) pretty much every new act (even Miley Cyrus and Kesha and that G6 song) were making Three 6 references all over the place.

Juice heard his/their name and picked up the phone to follow the cash. Paul... went back to Memphis to continue developing what they had left of HCP. Juice took every feature. Paul should have hit up Mike Will, Southside, Metro, Lex, all these other trap producers to collab or mentor them. They've all acknowledged Three 6 as a/the inspiration.

from my experience, most memphians say lord infamous was the best. i always thought paul was.
