Nah, that's ridiculous. Dirk was an MVP, a top 5/10 player in the league for years and without question is a top 20 player ever. Pierce was great, but he was never in Dirk's league. That's insulting.

Dirk won in 2011 and people have started to retcon his playing career like he was in that group when he wasn't. Its funny how the narratives always change. Just like how everybody will tell you now that Russell Westbrook has always been better than D Rose when back in 2011, people got clowned for thinking Russ was in Rose's league. People would have chosen Garnett, Duncan and possibly Amare back then (people thought Amare still had potential) over Dirk so this idea that Dirk is so good he can't be compared to Paul Pierce is very weird and reeking of revisionism.
