Eric Jerome dikkey, a New York Times best-selling author, has died at the age of 59. His publicist confirmed that dikkey died on Sunday, January 3 in Los Angeles “after battling a long illness.” Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no services. Throughout his prolific career, dikkey wrote 29 novels, many of which became cultural touchstones for African American contemporary life. Several of his works became New York Times best sellers, including Milk in My Coffee, Cheaters, Chasing Destiny, and Thieves’ Paradise.

Damn. Saw this earlier, but nothing was confirmed yet. RIP. I remember reading some of his books. My library used to have stickers on the books by African Americans and I would go for those only.
