Bishop pleaded guilty last month as part of a deal with prosecutors, and was also fined and ordered to pay restitution to the victim, 24-year-old Tom Reddington. Bishop reportedly apologized to Reddington, who was also in court Friday.

The FBI did not immediately respond to a request for comment, but Marlin said a prosecutor told him the agency fired Bishop sometime after the incident.
