Film Room Madness Round 1: #10 Harry Potter Franchise vs #23 Terminator Franchise

I went against my usual grain and picked HP.

And i just bought remastered Terminator Monday and got the 4K T2 a few months ago.

T2 is in my top 5 too but its been pretty ass for decades.

Actually just copped the 4k HP set for prime day too

Imo Harry Potter was aight until Order of the Phoenix. That's when I started taking it serious.

Terminator is cheeks as a franchise.


Kind of surprised though at the results since Coli has typically picked the franchise with the classic/goat film over a more consistent franchise every time.

I absolutely love the terminator franchise..1/2 are both in my top ten, 1 is prob a top 5 movie for me....I even enjoy 3 alot....but the drop off is too great vs HP franchise...HP doesnt really have a below average movie, while terminator has 2 (even tho as a fan I like Salvation/Genysys) but i had to remove the fan boy part of me for this one. HP by a hair.

Why do people keep saying t3 was good, that one is just as bad as the rest of them. I can agree the chase scene was dope, but the rest of that movie sucked. It was like a parody of T2 and felt like a cash grab.

I think I might be the only person here who likes all the T movies. The last one is one of the most underrated movies I've seen. It's a really fun movie imo.

relative to Salvation/Genisys, it's a good movie. It's of course not on par w/ T1 or T2, but it's a watchable sequel. If the series had ultimately ended as a trilogy, I think I would've been happy how it ended.

Harry Potter.

Azkaban is def a classic movie, and the franchise is actually consistent as fukk - 9 movies in (counting Fantastic Beast) and there's no real dud. The quality swings up and down but it never crashes. That's pretty rare.

Incredibly rare. Grant it quality is all subjective but like I said, even the one Harry Potter flick I think is meh as hell is still decent.

T1 and T2 arebut gotdamn if ol Harry Pothead and friends hasn't been far more consistent I can tolerate the first couple but definitely prefer the films when they're older Bellatrix Lestrange being sois worth the watch alone
