Actually if you read Collision Low Crossers(an excellent book about the 2011 Jets), Rex was getting on Mo a lot about not having a big motor.

Can anyone remember a Jets team with this little hope long term?

I dunno. It's been a long time. The Jets are horrible at QB and Secondary, and their ST are atrocious. They also are below average at LB and on the OL. The D-Line is good(but not dominant, and VERY expensive, both in terms of draft picks utilized and cash). The coach is a buffoon. The GM has made some very quirky decisions. It's not looking good.

Who's actually in charge of that decision? Maccagnan didnt hire Bowles. This is why the Jets are the Jets. No one knows who's in charge.

They fired Rex and brought in a worse guy. He'll probably get another year but if they finish up 4-12 or something like that all bets are off.

I think unless you go winless or some crazy shyt a coach deserves three seasons

I'm not a fan of what I've seen so far but he won 10 games last year I think that should allow you one bad season without getting fired

I expect a lot of cats to be gone this off season. A couple of us have been saying it for a while, but we straight up need to stink. This idea of a competitive rebuild is nonsense, because it often has us overspending for big (not even big) time free agents. We'll be running this treadmill forever. Some guys either need to be cut as cap casualties or restructure their contracts. And while I'm not completely down on Bowles, something has to change with him, quickly.

they dont really have anyone to trade. Marshall isnt going to net you anything more than a 6 at best. Revis has no value....teams arent going to trade for the Jets problems.
