Regarding this year the team had no choice but to bring Fitzpatrick back. The issues stem from Maccagnans spending prior to last year....we have a 100 million dollar secondary that needs to be completely replaced.
No one knows who's in charge either, which is a problem. Who gets to fire who?
huh? All of these contracts dating back to last year were stupid and I've maintained that. This year they boxed themselves into a corner...they werent going to give the QB reigns to an unknown with a team full of vets on their last contract,

They had a chance to do so though. Nobody said bench Fitz. He was a free agent. They had a chance to move on and didn't. He wasn't gonna repeat his performance and there was never gonna be a scenario where Fitz went somewhere else and been great.

They did have a choice. Dumb asses thought the season was gonna go up shyt's creek because of who the QB was when in reality the season was lost anyway.
Next year they're gonna be in a situation where they're a win now team with an unproven QB which is what they would have had this year, only now it's gonna cost everyone their jobs. They played this poorly.

Who were the ones thinking we were a QB play away? The "best available option" crowd who now are crying that Mac is short sighted, ignoring their short sighted vision in believing in Fitz.
The Jets will suck next year. The overspend in hopes of 10 wins and a playoff game is how this team continues to kill itself. Commit to one person to run the franchise. Draft a fukking QB that meets the QBASE baseline numbers, stop spending money on free agents and acquire as many picks as possible.
There was too many high priced veterans for them to have realstically rebuilt that quickly . You can't tell a team in the NFL who came off 10 wins to just blow it up right away regardless of what you thought would happen.
But You can continue to throw the same tantrums you've been doing all year if that's what gets you through the day

Try hearing their "best available option" thoughts and telling them to go younger at certain positions. They'll act as if you're in the complete wrong until it's 1-5 obvious.
