Maybe some people just want full creative control over their art and don't just want to put people on the albums just for the sake of putting someone on an album, especially if they don't actually enhance the record?

But it makes sense for French to think like this. He's not really a rapper or an artist in general. He's just a music socialite who just likes to be in the middle of things and rub elbows with "cool" people.

The funny thing about Drake and ASAP Rocky is that they got tons of records where they kill it on their own. French has one (Off The Rip).
