Confirmed his identity to who? Unless you've read the books you still don't really have a good idea who he is and his importance, as the family he's from is only just recently being put in the viewers lens

the torture is definitely important to Theon's storyline - it's basically all there is to it

Good clue, but I can't fault anyone for not connecting those dots. That horn blower, however was the bane of Theon's existence his final days as Lord of Winterfell, and we all knew who surrounded Winterfell cuz they specifically told us that, so....

In retrospect, they've dropped a lot of clues on this. I think it was DonkeyPuncher who linkedupthe scene from season 2 where Lord Bolton was talking with such glee about torturing folks...they've done a really good job building this storyline up.

Between that scene, his b*stard's torturing of Theon, cutting off Jamie's hand out the blue, and then having the big bytch fight the big bear for entertainment, those Bolton's are looking

Y'all don't find it odd that Jaime knows about edmures wedding, and threw in that sarcastic ass "send the regards of the lannisters"? Seriously. Why would Jaime send well wishes to a marriage that could take down his family? And Roose is attending after setting him free? And Jaime now has enough pull to back down Locke, using basically the same excuse he did when Locke cut his hand off?

Also, IMO, aside from dude being demented, he's holding/torturing theon because at this point he's the only person that really knows what happened at winterfell. So u break him to the point he wouldn't dare speak out against you. Even if he did get free.

Something about winterfell and the boltons ain't right. I been saying that. But all this chummy shyt with Jaime and Roose confirms it.
