A little off topic but from my understanding a lot of the characters are a lot younger in the books then in show. In my mind HBO made a good choice with that I understand they did it so it wouldn't look perverted but I would have a tough time believing the age some of these people are supposed to be Danys/Robb/Snow.

Yeah, GRRM regrets writing them so young, but at the same time HBO needs to put out seasons every year before the young actors start looking/sounding old, and you have a mid-20 year olds playing teenaged characters.

She gone take an L for not listening to them. They told her to take the gold and the ships and dip. That city doesn't seem like the pushover type.

And you forget she was the reason for Drago's death by trusting that foreign witch.

They gave up the gold for a reason, they must have some type of weakness, just like The Red Keep has the "Mud gate" that Stannis broke through.

Yea i think Joffery wanting to do something about Dany actually made him look somewhat responsible.

i would describe tywin and joffrey's interaction as an tactful sonning. i agree with REN that it wasnt quite as much ether as he has delivered to everyone else, but joff does know better than to come at granpa. remember, joff is the king but his mom is queen regent til joff comes of age and cersei gets sonned by tywin constantly. he did it in a tactful manner to not have to slap the shyt out of the king cause then it woulda been a big problem. joff WOULD have in that case said "off with his head" or someshyt but all joffrey really has is 7 kingsguard and a couple thousand gold cloaks, tywin is a 5 star general and his grandpops. tywin is being smart in avoiding making joffrey go nuts but still sonning him in a subtle way

This dude basically hit the nail on the head.

The whole nit picking of the level of sonning Joffrey received is stupid. The entire scene right down to the camera angles they shot were to depict Joffrey has a level of fear/respect for Tywin. He constantly squirmed on the throne and never held eye contact very long. Tywin stood over him in a dominant position. No one in a position of authority should let someone stand over them like that. It's a submissive position. And no one pointed out how when Joffrey said "well why havent I been advised of any of this?" Tywin said "Because I'm advising you NOW." Yes Tyrion once slapped the shyt out of Joffrey like 3 times. But was he the ruler of the 7 kingdoms at the time? No. But the Hound did tell Tyrion the Prince wouldnt forget the assault. Yes, the Hound also said "fukk the king" to Joffrey's face prior to bouncing. However they were in the middle of battle. You think the Hound can run the Kings Landings streets today like it's all peaches? Nah. Am I saying this to say Tywin gave him the worst sonning? No. That's not even important the severity of the sonning. I'm chiming in cuz dudes are saying Tywin was shook. Not at all.
Speaking of Ty Lanz and his famous sonning of his seeds, since I've been reading this thread I've never seen mention of his first sonning. We were introduced to Tywin when he sonned the shyt out of Jamie. Cersei and Tyrions "sonnings" are now legendary, but Jamie got that ether first.

Joffrey was extra confrontational when Gramps was down below. But as soon as he rose up to his level and stood over him. Joffrey took a hard swallow like a bytch and calmed the fukk down.

That's how he got sonned.

It was just another example of how Joffrey ain't built for this shyt. And how power IS MERELY just an illusion.

Arya Encounters Littlefinger [HD] - YouTube watch Littlefinger son the Tyrells and Tywin without them even knowing it, think about this for a second, he just had Tywinn give his blessing to make Marg the queen, undermining her power, then in the same breath, he has them marked for death at a later date, then in the next breath he talks about speaking with Cat Stark about her daughters while Arya is right in the room without Tywinn knowing it, this guy is the Lex Luthor of GOT. Tywinn saying tell me something i don't know trying to belittle him while he mocking without being direct.

There is a pretty decent speculative article HERE about Talisa being a Lannister spy tasked by Tywin to distract Robb, report back on his plans and seduce him into breaking his agreement with Waldor Frey.
If that is where they go with this then I would be pleasantly surprised because Talisa has not been all that great a character and at least as a spy she would have served a purpose other than being pretty.
