You can't have it all in one show. I don't get complaining about fight scenes when we're fortunate enough to have great character development within the story. That is extremely rare nowadays where great fight scenes make up for shytty writing.

It's more the lack of fight scenes that people don't like. Actually I can only speak for myself in that regard. There's really no reason why you can't have a great story and great fights. In the premiere ep it would have been cool to see the fight between the Night's Watch and the Walkers instead of hearing swords clang together and a fade in to Tarly.

I think that's coming, but now we have to live with fat boy being on wobbly legs and probably dying. The struggle to survive is focused on and will lead to that build up of that fight.

MJ had the game of his life while suffering from the flu or a hangover so this whole "Jamie wasn't ready" argument is moot. Like the saying goes don't pull the thang out unless you plan to bang. If the Kingslayer wasn't up to fight he shouldn't took the sword.

Because MJ did something out of the norm, you're making it a norm? :wtf:

Jamie is suppose to be the equivalent of MJ with a sword no? Anyway let's forget about that this the same dude who beat his own fam to death, and escaped by killing the man guarding him while cuffed. Maybe Brienne is just as good as he is.

While I agree, I don't see how one can invalidate him being cuffed and dragged around as an excuse.

that jamie vs brienne fight should have been shown as a much closer fight. it kinda cheapens jamie's true worth as a knight in the tv show viewers eyes which is not good.

i hope that wasnt a spoiler :manny:

I see your point but he had been egging her on for a fight since last season. He got his wish and it's his fault for picking a fight when he's not at his best.

through all that MJ wasn't malnourished for a month+ and lacking sleep for a month+...I think they even gave him IV fluids at halftime...

MJ was playing in a team sport with plays and schemes designed to get him open shots. im sure MJ with a flu vs another great player in a one vs one would not have fared as well.

Actually there's two of em. Money and time. They have a limited budget and large battle scenes are really expensive. They also have a limited amount of time to tell the story with so many story archs tied together. You make it sound so easy, but it's actually really difficult.

Yup. The last thing Sansa should have done is open her mouth to Margery. That broad is a proven opportunist. She wants to ingratiate to Joffrey's cornball ass and will feed into his twisted comfort zone to do so.

I knew shyt would fire back on Sansa when they subliminally put the cheese in front of her like she was a dumb ass mouse who fell for the trap. :heh:

I dont know how you guys are able to scrutinize EP2 yet :skip:

Im still :wow::to: @ that ether Tywin delivered EP1
