There’s always levels to it and this study is about the level of testosterone in male twins having an effect on their female counterparts in the womb.

It’s not “oppression” either, it’s just an effect.
The study also focuses on social hierarchies which oppression tends to be a natural effect of. Levels :ld:

The study had absolutely nothing to do with social hierarchies. The article about the study touched on social hierarchies in an attempt to explain the results of the study.

So how much money, education and children a woman has aren't factors that contribute to a womans place in a social hierarchy? :ld:
Yes, but that’s not what you initially said. You said that the study focused on those hierarchies. Even in this study it says that much more work needs to be done to even establish a casual link.

What exactly is your stance on the issue? Would you say that findings like these suggest overall?

Didn't read the article but don't women on average make less then men? Why would it be different for twins.

:ld:I'm skeptical. My mom's a fraternal twin and between her and her brother she is doing and has always done better than him when it came to school, money and family. That's why the article caught my attention. So I don't really believe the study. I just felt like debating this morning :troll:.

In the new study, behavioral economist Krzysztof Karbownik at Emory University in Atlanta, biological anthropologist Christopher Kuzawa at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, and colleagues turned to birth data from Norway. They looked at nearly 730,000 births between 1967 and 1978, including 13,800 twins.
