Nah, in the 1980s and 1990s Black male infant mortality was much higher which is why twenty-something women had a gap for a while.

People dont use common sense though, marriage is actually a quick path out of poverty with 2 incomes being better than one, regardless of who makes more but people suck at math. Unfortunately this backwards dead value system says get rich first before getting married, which everybody CAN NOT do alone, and will not do..... makes no sense.

Marriage is tanking for everyone...almost everywhere globally outside of Africa and a few parts of India/Asia. It's a bigger problem than Black folks doing the math.

That's true, but black folks tend to face the worst effects of everything happening in this country. So, it much more important for us to do what we can to avoid going completely under. Closer family units, more marriages and tightly-knit communities of like-minded individuals is the only way we can survive, even if we do get reparations one day.

Black women lead in college degrees but highest education (Masters+) has equalized. Gen X Black women had less college degrees percentage wise but a similar gap with men.
