It’s crazy that I don’t care for any of the Batman live action shows. I tried giving Gotham a chance, but dropped it during the first season.

Don’t care for CW’s formula/style, so I didn’t give it a chance. Doubt I’ll check for this show.

Why couldn’t they?

Between Birds of Prey, Titans, Batwoman, and Gotham Kinights as long as Batman isn’t in it they have no problem pulling from the rest of the canon.

This would be the first live action appearance of Damian Wayne compared to other DC characters, so they would need to get the casting right.

Damien doesn’t have the history to pull from yet. He’s barely 10 years old.

Nightwing/dikk gets the majority of adaptations cause he has history from popular Titans stories, solo runs, and his Robin years.

Just realized that they said adopted son, so I’m guessing that the CW will finally get that Nightwing appearance that they’ve always wanted.

Ok, the description of "rebellious adopted son" automatically makes me think that its Jason Todd so Red Hood will be the lead of the show.

If they don't want to create all new characters then the Batman villains with already established children (of varying degrees of verification) are:
