Denver ran the pistol offense last year, Peyton did fine with it...Matt will do fine

Seeing that Mike Tice is implementing a tough physical o-line
it seems like the pistol will emphasize a power run game.

We'll see. People like to compare Matt to Peyton but they don't QB the same way. Peyton absolutely controls the game play and pace at the line. The only time I've seen Matt effectively control pace is in the no huddle/2 min offense. I'm a Matt Ryan fan, but he can look mediocre at times even uninspiring if he's not trying to speed it up. I think Matt can run the offense, but I don't think it's really plays to his strengths, but we'll see. Hopefully he lights it up

It'll be interesting to see us in the Pistol. It's typically a formation for running quarterbacks but it's not like we're going to the Wing-T or something. Philly used it last year too with Foles who isn't a real runner. The point of it is to give the QB the same advantages as the shotgun while maintaining more of a run threat with the RB. I'll take any offensive innovation we can get instead of the vanilla shyt we've grown accustomed to.

How is Julio looking, coming off of injury?

Not practicing each session but good when he is.

Heard on the radio this morning that this is the same injury he's had over and over in high-shool AND college and now the pros. Hope access to better doctors in the pros fixes the issue. It would be a damn shame if this kept happening over his career for a player you guys paid such a high price for. He's fun to watch but looking fragile thus far.
At least he seems like a hard worker and workd hard on his rehab
