If we go on a losing streak up to week 6 or 7 then Smith is gone. Oline is still trash and so is the defense. I'm starting to believe that we'll never see a top 5 defense from the falcons ever
It's amazing that in the time Mike Smith has been coach, the Bengals built a defense and a offensive line with a running game and Mike Smith and the Falcons have built neither. Make excuses for incompetence, brehs
Hopefully, today will serve as a learning experience. Our weaknesses were exploited, now we have to improve and get tougher. Or its gonna be a long season.
I don't think they'll go on a losing streak, I think it will be 50-50 but it will be enough to keep Smith here for another year, as The Falcons have such a history of being terrible and Mike Smith has brought something most of the fans have never seen (albeit in an overrated and underwhelming way) so I think most fans are good with what he's doing and think that this is how football is done

Defense was getting gashed by the run gave up a big pass play and matt ryan threw 3 picks and garbage time td to julio

The gameplan overall today was fukked. Lots of dink and dunking, scared to throw down field. Seems to always be that way on the road..Playing conservative always ends up terrible. Why does it take until late in the 4th to run the hurry up offense? Something Ryan excells in. The coaching staff is a joke. Too early to be in panic mode though, short week and we have the Bucs in the dome, lets get to 2-1!

I can't recall a time seeing the hurry up offense fail for us. And it's mostly run when we're down in the 3rd or 4th. I know our coaches know that offense keeps the opposing defense gassed and off balance, but nope we just run the same bullshyt plays. We got a top 5 deep threat in Julio and we throw the short passes, true it's because of the poor o-line, but GOT DAMN we gotta take chances.
