Dude who created it, wrote in it and stars in it is a Puerto Rican who grew up in Washington Heights. Majority of the cast is either black or Latino. As far as making a mockery of the culture and having CACS behind them, the average industry-backed rapper that the Coli makes threads about is probably more guilty of that

He’s a white Puerto Rican aristocrat. Get this disingenuous ass narrative the fukk outta here. Lin Manuel is horrible at rapping and made accessible cheeseball rap that was a totally ahistorical rendering of Hamilton’s life. It’s shallow mainstream corn masquerading as subversive art.

Having finally watched the play and knowing more about the real life Hamilton I agree it isn’t history in the slightest, and very inaccurate in its depiction of what he stood for.

As far as Miranda being a minimal talent, completely disagree. Even beyond the rapping just looking at how he constructed the narrative and the storytelling behind it, I thought it was brilliant.

Watched it live back in Feb and it was great.

Was fun spotting the lyrics from songs you know like Prodigy or Nas bars.
