Has there ever been a major wrestler that has stayed retired?

I was thinking about this when Kurt Angle announced his retirement from TNA. I doubt he would retire completely and he'll probably end up going back home (WWE) for one last run. It seems like every wrestler that retires makes another come back. Even guys with career ending injuries like Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels came back after retiring.

Only injury and health problems keep wrestlers retired most of the time...it's never because they just decided to step away.

Only Michaels has announced an official retirement and hasn't wrestled since. Goldberg is retired, I'd be surprised if he ever wrestles again. Maybe Hogan has had his last match? Can't think of anyone else...
