But he is one of the most innovative and is a pioneer
Rick Rubin was it not the first REAL PRODUCER I recall we had in hip hop
When he had Run DMC and THE Beastie Boys rhyming over those Led Zepplin styled hard drum patterns with guitar riff punches it defined a unique sound
You even hear it with 'LL COOL J matter of fact in defined DEF JAM as well as hip hop
And made Def Jam a perfect fit for PUBLIC ENEMY's symphony of "noise" production courtesy of The Bomb Squad
So I highly respect Rick.....
And I understand Russell bias cause he made his first MILLION courtesy of RICK RUBIN and the talent they produced
But he is not in my opinion....
That title goes to PREMIER!!!
