How come Wayne's artists (drake, nicki) are stars but 50s artists (banks, buck, yayo) are nobodies?

Drizzy and Nicki have way more star power than 99% of the game. Totally marketable, and totally moldable, yet still authentic.

It's hard to take someone rapping about violence and drugs, and marketing that heavily. For one it's too generic, and for two, oce banks and others were to reak character they'd lose credibility.

Drizzy and Nicki can go pop, hop on a trap beat, very well-spoken. Of course they will be getting the star $$$

Theres a whole different subject matter when teenagers want to buy into that lifestyle (merchandise)

Yet banks only has 1 certified album and only ever had 2 hit singles
Buck only has 1 certified album and only had 1 hit single
Yayo has an uncertified gold album and never had a top 40 song ever

banks, yayo, and buck all have a platinum album. banks has a gold album too, and his third album sold like 300-400k i think if I'm not mistaken
