^If such a small amount of people can hoard that much wealth does it explain why others are in poverty?

We know that money = resources under capitalism.

If you have the money you can buy the resources and if you don't have the money you can't buy the resources.

And we wonder why people are starving and living in the ghetto.

I hold them both in equally poor regard.

So I suppose a 1 on your scale.

Fair enough, i respect that. :obama:

When you look at the poverty in Mexico it's hard to justify Carlos Slim Helu having 86 billion dollars.

And that goes for the rest of the list also...

Poverty is everywhere.

There's a pretty glaring percent of 'American' children who are food insecure today.

That's a total non-sequitur, but...

Lets say we take that 86 billion dollars and divide it evenly amongst everyone in Mexico. Explain to me what will happen next. :ld:

There will be some poor people in Mexico who get to eat better and have a higher quality of life.

Even if that's just a temporary thing so be it.

And who exactly is making the argument that this guy's money needs to be confiscated and divided evenly amongst the entire population?
