Definitely, if you have the right setup.

I rock a Sennhieser HD800 and an Oppo portable amp/dac

I also have Grado RSe2s, and Parrot Zik 3s

Which headphones to get largely depends on your budget
$40-$60 headphones good?

:mjlol:

Are your trolling? If not, you’re in for quite a shock. Those Sennheisers I mentioned above, cost $1000. The Grados are $750 and the oppo amp was $400.

You are not going to find any good headphones for $40-$60. shyt, you’re not going to find any headphones that can take advantage of Tidal HiFi for under $400.

Stick with regular Tidal

Since we’re talking about headphones. Do you have a list of good ones (i also have Tidal + willing to go to Hi-if).

I’ll spend up to 600 dollars ( maybe more if it’s an excellent value).

It’s for personal use btw.

For $600, I’m not sure. I haven’t properly researched that price range. You could probably get some mid-range Sennheisers for that, but there might be better ones out there. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help.

It’s worth it - on Fridays you get better versions of the new music.

If Tidal dies I really hope someone picks up the HiFi aspect.

Look at the sennhesier se 598 but You don’t need to spend no damn $600 on some headphones for a quality listening experience :stopitslime:. I got dt 990 250 ohms with a fiio ek10 amp/dac spent around $240 all together. Go on r/headphones and r/audiophiles on reddit. Tomsguide and the hi-fi site and research around. Don’t just out and blow that much on headphones without some understanding especially on something so subjective on what YOU think sounds better.

And @Rose Gold the ath m40x are a quality pair of cans in the $70 range. Obviously you aren’t going to get high end headphones that takes full advantage of hi-fi without spending hundreds, but the M40x are one of the most revered pair of headphone for starters wanting to get into the audiophile experience. you can still benefit greatly from them it. Again do some research and make the best decision for you
