You don't have a decent system in your car? 
I feel weird with an earbud or Bluetooth in my ear while driving, so how the hell ppl riding around with music directly in their ears?

Then where did the car and gas come from? Flea markets (or ebay) is a poor persons dream. Im sure I could get a deck, 2 6x9s and 2 door speakers for about $100.

If you have to rely on headphones to get good audio when you driving then your poor period
I listen to podcasts while driving, never music. 
I've had my whip for a month though...... But yeah it's time to get an auxiliary cord though. .

- The headphones could be a phone headset
My car has Aux, Aux-in and Bluetooth inputs but i know many cars dont

I posed this question on twitter and most people said they do it to field calls easier and their still listening to the radio for music.

I have an aux port but sometimes I have earbuds in when I jump in the whip listening to a podcast or something and don't bother to switch.
I always take the left ear out though for awareness and because the mic is on the right for taking calls.
Again, I only do this with podcasts. My music gotta bang loud or not at all.
