Not to go nerd or anything but remember in Dark Knight after that battle with the drug dealers and Scarecrow, Bruce was asking Morgan Freeman for a better designed suit because he couldn't turn his head or something. I think that was Nolan's in movie excuse for changing the suit (into his image) to the shyt he has now. More functional but not as aesthetically pleasing.
