I remember them saying it. I just had idea what it meant. When they made us watch Othello in English class they were saying Moor too.

I dont know how u can watch that movie and miss that, Martin's character even said something about that one Knight that kept calling him a Moor.


Ehh, that movie was damn near twenty years ago. I can see that possibly going over folks heads considering the young folks on this message board and other forms social media. Most people don't concern themselves with history, and that's especially so of young people. I imagine most young Americans are ignorant about the Moors. Probably not the case in Spain or other parts of Europe.

Is that the same time as the Arabs. From what I understand from reading a couple books, Moors and Sub Saharan weren't the same thing.
