Word , I'm quite sure op tried to be the responsible black man by calling this song trash. But the lyrics are a cautionary tale to why you never bleed in front of wolves. Most of these nikkas according to coli standards think all you have to do is get "certs" and shyt is sweet. There are actual brehs who are to wits end and down for whatever to do what they have to. ... Everybody has a theme song.

I used to walk through the hood as a kid around 12 years old leaving my grandmother house to go back to my pops and never got robbed....And it's mainly because I never was allowed to wear jordans or fashionable name brand.

I could be fashionable, but nothing with big ass logos saying "I'm shining nikka, what it do". But back then in the late 90's you had grown ass nikkas stunting and getting shook down, it's all how you are raised.

I remember the day I saw the Ante Up video I felt sick like I wanted go throw up. It was like watching a murder.

I couldn't believe somebody made a song about taking someone's life in a robbery like that. I was sick I was disgusted.

It was the crabs in a barrel anthem.
The message was if you are a successful black man and buy any jewelry or a nice car that other black men were coming to take it from you and possibly kill you in the process because they don't want to work and be successful.

I'm glad MOP hasn't had much success because that song exceeded all limits.

In all seriousness that might be one of the worst mainstream songs for black culture.
