If Kyrie stayed attached to Lebron, where would he have ended up ranking all time?

2 Things prompted me to make this thread

1- A fully healthy Kyrie on a winning team, flirting with another 50/40/90, doesn’t make the all star game; and it’s not really shocking and no one is really talking about it. Like we’ve just accept he’s not viewed in that light anymore

2….

:damn:The ngga talent level is insane.

All time bag fumble by leaving Lebron. He was misguided to think he had to forge his own path—-we won’t say by who :whoa:——when that’s was a mistake. Magic and Kareem benefited off each other, Shaq and Kobe, etc.

Where would his career be if things went different? As it stands he’s an 8 time All star, first ballot hall of fame , and an Iverson-like street/cultural impact bc of his style of play. The greatest ‘bag’ in history.

But PGs get caught in the wash after they retire. Nash won 2 MVPs and his legacy gets lost in the shuffle. Same for GP, Kidd, etc. There’s just so many PGs with similar resumes it’s gonna be hard for him to stand out. But if he stays with Bron or at least with Boston and led them how he should have, imo he ends up with 1 or 2 more rings, more iconic moments, probably a finals MVP, and he goes down as the 3rd best PG of all time

:comeon:FULLY HEALTHY?

KYRIE JUST MISSED 6 GMS IN A ROW
AND HAS ONLY PLAYED IN 29 OF 51 GMS.
OF COURSE HE DIDNT MAKE THE ASG.

YOU COULD'VE DONE A LITTLE RESEARCH
BEFORE MAKING THIS THREAD.

LeBron would have dragged him down and destroyed him for his own gain

This sounds great for a soap opera First Take segment but how about you explain in real hoops terms :jbhmm:

1) A still prime Bron conceded to an even split in shot attempts per game their last year. Kyrie had a green light that was only going to get bigger

2) Bron ‘dragged’ Anthony Davis to NBA 75

Boston played better without him, Scary Hours in Brooklyn was a fiasco and Dallas isn't going anywhere. We can debate for hours about his skills, production and whether these facts are his fault or not, but he just happens to be a common denominator. How many playoffs series has he won since leaving Bron, two?

Kobe saw the obvious similarities to his path and Kyrie's. Who better for Kyrie to take advice from? Someone who dealt with the same situation

Like Kobe he...

-felt trapped in a larger than life shadow
-felt like he was contributing just as much
-wanted the glory for himself

problem was....he wasn't Kobe :francis:

He's as talented as Kobe was...maybe even more.

But he always lacked that mental makeup to be the franchise guy. Which means he couldn't actually follow in Kobe's path.

To his credit he figured it out and tried to get back into that secondary role....but he didn't have the kind of chemistry with KD or Luka like he did with Bron. The closest other fit with him was Harden for like 20 games.

If he doesn't dip out on Bron, Cleveland probably wins at least another chip. he also doesn't get snubbed off that top 75 list either. Gets the nod off all those 50/50 all Nba and allstar teams just off the strength of playing with the most popular player.

Him and Bron would be etched in history on the short list of GOAT duos. Meaning his career is totally different than whatever the fukk it turned out to be.

LeBron didn’t drag AD anywhere. AD was the best player on the team the year they won the title.

And this thread is pure stannery because he has no business being an all star with 29 games played. De’Aaron Fox is the actual snub.
