Yeah I'm bringing in budget. Not many other artist can afford to have people who are MORE talented than them come in and produce tons of beats for them and write their lyrics. Kanye is a good artist and an even better pop culture celebrity but his musical ability is overstated.

Thats an exaggeration of the process.. he wouldnt get so many co production credits if it was like that.

& you know artists like Jay, Drake, Wayne, Eminem, Nas etc could get that type of $$ if they were truly passionate about a project

Not too many artist can literally be hands-off and not in the studio for 80 percent of their album, come in and hand choose from 1000s of beats and lyrics, clean them up to his liking, and get all the credit, but OH WAIT THE GREAT KANYE is such a genius for doing just that.

I think that Kanye is a great editor, executive producer, and has good taste but I'm not giving him credit over people that write their own rhymes, make their own beats, don't have his budget or media access.

Dude is the only thing in hip hop the last few years that is actually about the music.

Folks have been clowning him for his non corporation rants...but they dont get it. All he is saying is that he makes music that is real to him, and he's not doing it to be #1 on the charts etc...
...thats real to me.
Nobody else in hip hop that is in his position is like that. Jay drops music w/ the sole intention of soccer moms liking it...Ye makes music even when he knows his core audience may not like it...but you have to respect it because its what he felt like making, and he did it regardless of how people view his work.
