If you're a dark skinned female music artist, you won't sell albums in America

Beautiful dark talented women (think Tiara Thomas) are stagnant because they don't fit the popular

Yall are in some deep denial. Jasmine Sullivan, K Michelle, Janet Jackson and some of the others mentioned are not dark skin. You been looking at biracial/ latinas and white women too much.

Lauryn Hill was the last dark skinn black woman to have broad mainstream, cross over appeal. Sony quickly replaced her with a ligher, less political Alicia Keys and whites were way more comfortable with her. That shyt was on purpose.

None of the singers yall mentioned are anywhere close to being that big, not even Kelly Rowland. ive never even heard of most of the singers yall are bringing up.
