Dude ain't played in like 7 years but they keep reupping him, one of the GOAT finessers :salute:

they may just need to let him go at this point...seems like he will just stay around as long as he can instead of just moving into the front office.

How the hell do tbe Twolves and Suns think they are going to get to this max offer for D Russell.
Suns would involve trading Jackson and trading/waiving and stretching Tyler Johnson

I expect them to do at least one of these whether they go after Dlo or not.

Kawhi leaving the Raptors is bad for the overall business.

How so? Seen this before and I don't understand. He got traded to a team he didn't want to play for, the org and fans knew what it was and at least got a ring out of it. Yeah without him Raps probably won't win another or if GS was healthy do they have this one, point is they got one which most the league can't say. Raps fans have been through worse, they'll be fine. It'll remain a success for years to come business wise.

Maybe if he did a neutral move like join the Clippers, what would be the point. Him going to the Lakers eclipses staying in Toronto, easily. For a sport that relies on headlines as much as they do, another super team picking up where the last one lost steam gotta be a dream for ESPN and advertisers. Add Silver bending space and time to get LeBron on TV earlier so east coast people can watch the Lakers and it's clear to me the business would be just fine if not more profitable.
