Don't see how the Rockets could pull off the Butler thing anyway if he doesn't opt in like CP3 did

If he opts out & wants the sign & trade it hard caps the Rockets, assuming just Gordon & Capela are sent out & cap holds, they would have under $6m to spend & have to fill 7 roster spots still. Even if they dumped everybody but Harden, CP3, & Tucker before adding him on a max they have just under $10m left to spend & need to fill 9 spots. The minimum salary for someone with just 1 year of experience is $1.35m so if they just signed 8 guys on the minimum that had a year in the leage to fill out the roster they would be over the hard cap by just under a million

yep. Now I personally am rooting for Kawhi to stay in Toronto but still if you're LA going with 3 stars and no depth is a dangerous game. Bron is coming off his first major injury and is 35, AD also has an extensive injury history, and you want to add Kawhi with his own injury history as well Those 3 with the little depth the Lakers would have would get ran into the ground by February out West
