Jokes aside, I respect your comment
@stomachlines .
A few questions if you'd be kind enough to answer them:
What did you grow up listening to in the household prior to hip hop?
What genres are you listening to now that give your soul the satisfaction it needs?
i grew up listenin' to r&b and soul music first and foremost but hip hop was always around. but i was a r&b and soul head first; my mom and dad always had music like james brown, aretha franklin, the temptations, marvin gaye, al green, elton john, curtis mayfield, the beatles, con funk shun, fleetwood mac, genesis/phil collins, bill withers, willie hutch, levert, prince, dionne warwick, michael jackson, cameo, bobby womack, the whispers, the dramatics, sting, mint condition, chaka khan, glady knight and the pips etc etc, the list goes on.
a lot of different music gives me satisfaction, like for instance ain't nothin' like some sly stone, curtis mayfield, the staple singers james brown, marvin gaye, isaac hayes, willie hutch, barry white, kenneth edmonds, parliament, funkadelic, the meters, the ohio players, michael jackson, the eagles, cameo, albert king, jimi hendrix, john lee hooker, prince, al green, stevie ray vaughn, son house, minnie riperton, roger troutman, bobby womack, lightin' hopkins, ahmad jamal, leroy hutson, pink floyd, santana, mint condition, chaka khan, led zeppelin, the rolling stones, van halen, fleetwood mac, the beatles etc etc; the list goes on and on
