Is 2006 the most underrated year in hip hop?

I see a lot of people saying that this was a terrible year for hip hop. By no means am I saying that it's a quality year but I think it's not as bad as people make it out to be.

Tons of great projects released that year and, if you ask me, 2009 was a much weaker year for hip hop in the same decade.

In 2006 we had:

-Clipse - Hell Hath No Fury
-Nas - Hip Hop Is Dead
-Roots - Game Theory
-Lupe - Food & Liquor(and the Fahrenheight Tapes)
-Jeezy - The Inspiration
-Ghostface -Fishscale
-Ghostface - More Fish
-Wayne - Like Father Like Son and the Dedication 2
-J Dilla - The Shining
-Snoop - The Blue Carpet Treatment
-Cut Chemist -The Audience's Listening
-CunninLynguists - A Piece Of Strange
-Aceyalone - Magnificent City
-E-40 - My Ghetto Report Card
-Pharrell - In My Mind
-Ross - Port Of Miami
-Hi-Tek - Hi-Teknology
-Skyzoo - Cloud 9
-Cube - Laugh Now Cry Later
-Camron - Killa Season

Of course, there were some misses too like Kingdom Come, Luda's album, DMX's album, and the Snap/Ringtone hits but, otherwise, this was far from a terrible year if we're strictly talking albums. I still listen to many of these projects on the regular.

A lot of dope releases that year. Lloyd Banks - Rotten Apple is a dope '06 album as well.

Busta rhymes Big Bang album was underrated.

But 06 is left out of discussions because, despite some decent projects there weren't many classics in 2006 compared to other years like 1994, 2005, 2001 or 1998 or even 2007

Makes me think back to the advance of Food and Liquor too

But yeah, he had the 3 beat tapes of 05’ that were nice too.
