A very convenient example. Im guessing u think this level of irresponsibility is representative of the typical rape victim :mjlol:
Not to say all or even a majority are due to a lack of sense.

The tinder thread is a perfect example of what I am talking about. It isn't the common case but happens frequently enough to address.

No, but we can make it much less of a problem by addressing it directly, rather than peripherally or passive aggressively through victim blaming.

Dudes like @Poitier go to a murder victim's funeral like "dude should have moved his body out of the way of the bullets :smugfavre:" and act like they are addressing crime rationally and directly.
I don't think anyone that's saying there is some efficacy in "risk assessment" is absolving the perpetrators of their role in the crime. I was always told you only have control over your actions, so until we can get to a point where rape or w/e other crime is no longer a real threat (or less of one), we need to practice some self preservation via using our better judgment.

You get it and didn't have to bring out strawmans and generalizations :ohhh:

U would rather talk about the exceptions

Its more than an exception and happens enough to address proactively. And no one deserves rape or violence except maybe those who commit it.

Rape is not a problem of people not being careful enough.

If u want to stop rapes/assaults/murders, address rapists/assaulters/murderers

Telling people 'dont get raped/assaulted/mudered' is not addressing the root cause of the problem, and no problem is solved without its root being addressed.

For whatever reason there is a vocal contingent of men that adamantly refuses to confront/assign blame to/discuss male perpetuators of crime directly. There always has to be some justification. 'She shouldnt have been outside' 'The white man made him violent' 'If she had given him the p*ssy he wouldnt have to have done what he did' 'Im not saying its right but I agree with his reasoning' Etc etc

Plus it seems like brehs are OK with crimes like rape being a given and making no attempt to understand why people do it or what can be done to keep people from raping rather than defending against rape. Its pretty disgusting.

There will always be sociopathic people out there regardless of gender. Feminists who want us to tell other men "don't rape or disrespect women" are foolish as hell.

And people who do something like rape to begin with have some deep issues that none of us could ever understand.

Approximately 2/3 of rapes were committed by someone known to the victim.
73% of sexual assaults were perpetrated by a non-stranger.
38% of rapists are a friend or acquaintance.
28% are an intimate.
7% are a relative.

More than 50% of all rape/sexual assault incidents were reported by victims to have occured within 1 mile of their home or at their home.

  • 4 in 10 take place at the victim's home.
  • 2 in 10 take place at the home of a friend, neighbor, or relative.
  • 1 in 12 take place in a parking garage.
43% of rapes occur between 6:00pm and midnight.
    • 24% occur between midnight and 6:00am.
    • The other 33% take place between 6:00am and 6:00pm.
  • The average age of a rapist is 31 years old.2
  • 52% are white.2
  • 22% of imprisoned rapists report that they are married.2
  • Juveniles accounted for 16% of forcible rape arrestees in 1995 and 17% of those arrested for other sex offenses.2
  • In 1 in 3 sexual assaults, the perpetrator was intoxicated — 30% with alcohol, 4% with drugs.3
  • In 2001, 11% of rapes involved the use of a weapon — 3% used a gun, 6% used a knife, and 2 % used another form of weapon.2
  • 84% of victims reported the use of physical force only.2

of course not, I addressed that already
I agree w/ those statements. It's not victim blaming imo. For example, a rapist will be a rapist regardless of how you dress, how late you're out, how drunk you are, etc (most of the time rape is about power rather than aesthetics anyway). but we'd be fools to think that there aren't some practices we can engage in to lessen the likelihood of it happening.

Like why would anyone not use this data for their own good?

because it goes against feminism,

like anything in life you can take precautions. Be careful who you date, be careful who you allow in your inner circle, be careful surrounding yourself around white males who are intoxicated ala clubs and bars, don't walk by yourlsef in a parking garage.

A lot of p*ssy ass sociopaths will wish the worst for their fellow humans, but dont have the stomach to express those views publicly and unfiltered, so they cloak their depravity under this twisted moral illogic in order to operate on some moral high ground in their own mind.

You don't think his point about staying safe instead of putting yourself in dangerous situations is valid?

If you had a son, wouldn't you educate him about how white people will view him? Especially if he grabs a hoodie and says he's walking to his friends house? At night time?

You guys are getting emotionally charged, leaping to women's defense, but there's no offense to defend, it's just common sense.

We can understand rape... if we choose to. Once we understand it, we can work to minimize it way better than through telling women to not be anywhere men are.

of course not, I addressed that already
What % of rapes are avoidable? Cite sources.

Thanks for this, brother Scarf. Let me extrapolate some tips for our brehettes to not give the p*ssy away to rapists.

- Dig a tunnel from your house to 1 mile away from your house.
- Don't know or ever be alone with ANY man.
- Don't be home.
- Don't be in a parking garage.
- Don't exist between the hours of 6pm and 6 pm
- Dont be anywhere with alcohol- bars, parties, chemistry labs, grocery stores, pharmacies, sidewalks with drunk bums

Brehs, keep giving women a reason to be more careful :demonic:

I hope this is helpful :blessed:

Forgive me if im wrong because I only glanced at the tweets...this man didnt really say anything along the line of "she deserved it" "brought it on herself". He's advocating being cautious from what I can judge. Although it did sound like he was arguing that a victim is responsible for being a victim in the latter tweets. I cant take this guy serious either way.

You could also make the argument that someone walking across the street is responsible for getting hit by a car simply for putting themselves knowingly in a dangerous situation.
