I'm asking here cause I know this is where any film students would be.
This isnt a defend ISIS thread or anything like that, either.

If you don't feel up to it, I understand completely.
And you don't need to watch the actual execution, just take a look at the intro leading up to it and tell me if this seems like some BS to you.

I started at 16:20 cause I don't speak arabic... I'd say watch from there.
The execution is not until like 18:00+ so there is no violence or anything at the 16:20 mark, just take a look and see what you think.

The first vid is just the execution its a 2 min vid. By all means, skip that if you want.
The second vid though is the full 25 minute video of everything. The execution is not until past the 18:00 mark, so everything before that is just video footage... don't worry. Nothing graphic at all. Its just the way its shot just seems really suspect to me.

They are using chirons and post effects and final cut transitions and image in image effects... b-roll.
It doesn't seem like people recording an execution, it seems like an indie film with a decent budget.

This shyt is directed better than most SyFy original movies.

I didn't embed the video or anything. People have free will.
I imagine somewill have already seen it anyway. Its AAA news at the moment.

I'm just saying, what I watched didn't seem in any way authentic.
It looked like it could be bonus footage on the American Sniper blu-ray.

this belongs in HL if anything is all i meant. I've watched a lot of ISIS shyt, they've been using 1080 and dope cameras for their shyt for a while in addition to editing and shyt. the deaths are too real, not even hollywood could make death look that real.

I don't know... Hollywood makes death look pretty real nowadays.
Thats why I question these ISIS vids. I only took one film class, so its not like film was my major or anything but they are doing all sorts of techniques in these vids like distance and lighting and color association. I mean actual sitcom stuff, where my grandma can follow a program she missed the beginning of cause each character is wearing a different color... just subtle stuff like filming all the people from one group in tight shots then filming all the members of the rival group in wide shots. Stuff where its like nah man somebody made a script for this at some point and its actually being directed.

I don't know... maybe its just me, but these videos seem fabricated.
Like the new one, there is a point where they play a heartbeat soundclip as the audio, like something straight out of private ryan when or an army film after an explosion goes off and there is a deafening silence then the sound comes back in with a heartbeat. They do that. And that type of effect is there to get the audience to empathize with the person experiencing it, which in this case is the dude they are executing... so its like the director is trying to make ISIS appear as the bad guy... but we are told ISIS made the video...

This just seems weird.

i disagree with the effect being to get the audience to "empathize". When your hearing gets fukked up from an explosion, you can literally hear your heartbeat in your head. all ISIS videos involve executions and violence, every video they make makes them appear as the bad guy. potential ISIS recruits don't view it the same way. ISIS takes great care in producing their propaganda videos. Yes, they're being directed.

You know what else bothered me... they do close ups on the ISIS soldiers uniforms and they look new. Like brand spanking new like they got them out of a production trailer that morning. No scuffs, no scratches, no stains. Its the same type of fake never before worn clothing you see when you are watching Arrow or something on the CW. Their masks dont have any creases in them cause they have never been worn, taken off, folded and put in a pocket before. They don't have lint and fuzz on them.

The situation in the Middle East is also looking grim for the Israelis and their ISIS mercenary army. What is going on with ISIS in the Middle East is really an American civil war by proxy. On the one hand, you have the Pentagon fighting against ISIS. On the other hand, ISIS recruiters captured in Pakistan and elsewhere are saying they are getting their funding from the United States. ISIS fighters are being treated in Israeli hospitals and ISIS propaganda is being sent out the world via Jerusalem, according to British intelligence.

So here we have Pentagon troops fighting American financed mercenaries using US weapons and headed by an “El Bhaghdadi” who is really Mossad agent Simon Elliot. If this is not civil war by proxy, what is it?
