Actually knew a woman like this. She worked lead in one of the customer service dept in the company, but she was loud and hood, couldnt climb the ladder for shyt and was piiisssed lol. I come in and surpass her position into a mid tier about 3 years later, and she switched up CRAZY style. She actually admitted she admired my drive and how I worked the system (I sensed a little bit of envy she was 8 years my senior in the company).
6 mnths later She cleaned up her vocabulary, and just morphed into a totally different person. She started saying hi to the upper company cacs, smiling, and just being all over joyed. apparently she became a born again, but I think the threat of lay offs and watching the younger blacks more diverse in dealing with social complexities woke her up. I no longer work there but I heard she is STILL there and works a pretty high position now. Im happy for her.
