two things.

1. Philly should've never announced that they would block New Yorkers from buying tickets, it backfired, gave Knick fans extra juice to take it over.
2. I could be wrong, but 76ers been medicore to trash the last 10-15 years.. probably lost lotta die-hard fans.

Combination of :

- no one believes in a 7th seed down 0-2 coming back home
- Knicks are the one team New York universally backs and they have Finals expectations, so a short road trip and tickets that are cheaper than MSG is a dream scenario for any fan trying to hit a playoff game
