So I just watched one of the biggest movies of 2015.... this weekend.... on DVD.
It was pretty good. Very entertaining.
My favorite part was when Vivian (Lauren Lapkis) and Lowery (Jake Johnson) were in the control room. They are evacuating everyone from the island, but Lowery decides to stay behind to man the base. Great, what a heroic and brave thing to do.
Now, up to this point, you see these two working together. You sense there's a pretty good vibe between the two while they are working together. Kind of flirting and stuff, you know, talking about the dinosaur toys on his desk. She might be a future girlfriend.
Fast forward to the evacuation scene. Dude moves in for a kiss and then.... surprise, surprise, she tells him that she has a boyfriend. For all this time they've been working together, she never tells homeboy. It's kind of obvious she was playing homie, like he was second fiddle.
Dude played it off, but the rejection was harsh.
Not only did he have zero chance with her, he's left to man a base station surrounded by man-eating dinosaurs. What in the ... you fill in words...
If there's a Jurassic World II, he's just going to push her into a cage of velociraptors....
