The Maven Album Reviews

Amazing
By alex bender on April 6, 2013
Format: Audio CD
K-Rino drops another great album, the entire cd is great he can school you on life, take you through the paranormal, and just rip a track apart to the point where it takes 20 minutes to listen to a 4 minute song because you keep rewinding the track to hear verses again. His lyrics are deep and uplifting, through out the cd he keeps pushing you to question your life and the state of the world in general. This is no ordinary rapper he is who he is and will not apologize for it, will not embellish the truth to make himself seem like a gangster, he embraces his life and wants others to do the same. If you want to hear someone rap about how they have more money than you, how they are a gangster and they murder people don't listen, but if you want to hear some real lyricism from a man that is as intelligent as he is real buy this album support real hip hop not the fake.

Amazing CD! K-rino is one of the greatest lyricists of all time. He's the only real rapper I can listen to daily without being sick of. The Seller was quicker than expected on the delivery. I've listened to this whole album 3 times so far with no disappointment whatsoever!

One of the most underrated rappers of all time. No BS!
By DarkSunRider on January 26, 2014

One of the most underrated rappers of all time. Definitely one of the most hardest working emcee/rapper of this era. K-rino's lyrical skills are astounding. K-rino has at least 18 albums out. I admit that I was slipping on this brother by not knowing who he was. My son put me on to K-Rino (Thank you Son!!) After listening to "The Grand Deception", "Valley of Decision", "Who Is This", and some other music of his, I bought those albums and consequently bought every album he made. I have every album on my mp3 player. I have to be honest, ..... when you are listening to his music you will certainly began rewinding a song you are listening to because his use and flow of words are so gifted, you will keep rewinding a song and asking yourself, WHOA, I HAVE TO HEAR THAT AGAIN! K-Rino, you are a gifted brother! So am I.

Better than your favorite rapper!
By Ernest F. on June 26, 2013

This guy keeps coming out with unbelievable albums. He's like the best mc that no one knows about! It's a shame that we won't

hear this guy on mainstream radio. K-Rino makes you wonder how he keeps making albums with all new material that doesn't

repeat! I was hooked when I purchased Grand Deception then Annihilation of the Evil Machine. I have Alien Baby and about 4

more. I recently purchased 80 minutes of Eternity and the one before that with the song"No Redemption" and #12 that song

about crooked deejays charging money. This album goes hard from the 1st song on. No skipping required!!
-a must listen

The Best Rapper "Alive"
By michael cushion on August 8, 2011
Format: Audio CD
I have been listening to K for twenty years(14 to 34). I appreciate the way he has grown as an artist. Day Of The Strom is another A1 album by K Rino. I expected nothing less and as usual he delivered.

K_rino needs a 6 star just for him. Every album is 5 stars but some I like better out of personal preference. So I would give this 6 stars because its one of my k-rino personal favorites.

K-Rino is definitely the best rapper right now and is one of the few hip-hop artist I listen to nowadays. The only rapper that does a great job at story-telling, implementing abstract concepts in his tracks, and coming with a wide array of lyrical styles and verses.

I am writing this review because of my husband. My son introduced his step-dad to K-Rino.
Now my son is thirty one and my husband is fifty two. That just shows the age range of
K-Rino's listeners. I have purchased more of his CDs than I can remember, I tell my
husband that all he ever listens to is K-Rino. He really likes this CD and I just pre-ordered
the one due out September 12th. I like K-Rino too we both agree, (along with my son) that
K-doesn't just rap, listen closely to all his words, you'll get a good history lesson and
more. You really have to understand about what's happening around you to appreciate the
time he has put into research and studying up on those hidden truths! Kudos to K-Rino!

It seems that with each album, K-Rino, Houston rapper, just gets more and more unique and intelligent with his delivery, rhymes, hard metaphors and just about everything else that makes an MC. Nowadays, a rapper is just a rapper (with most of them being horrible in comparision to those in the 80s and 90s), but K is a true MC! In my opinion, K-Rino deserves to be mentioned in the top 10 rappers to ever step in front of a mic, and the exciting thing is, with nearly 20 albums, Rino seems to just be getting started.

I first heard of Rino when i heard the infamous track 'Ultimate Flow' from his 93' album debut LP. At the time of hearing this, Rino was just releasing the Triple Darkness trilogy LPs in i believe 2006. I found the albums and relised that he got better, alot better, which says alot considering even his first album was very very good. After hearing 'Holla At Me', i came to the conclusion that this relatively unknown underground secret was more than another talented rapper, he had something special. Many LPs later (because unlike all other artist, Rino releases an average of two albums a year), and with improvement of Rino's technique being expressed in each album, we get Deeper Elevation!

To put it as simple as possible, this album is proberly his best. The title track is the greatest word play song of all time, with Rino basically using two words which are similar but have opposite meanings. Confusing isn't it, but here is a bar from the track which might give you an idea of the creativity in the track, 'My brain's hard to explain like a no pain migraine
An underground airplane, a wet flame or dry rain'. Absolute genius. The tracks only get better. This album also contains argubly his greatest track to date. Its called 'Planet Exile (Identity Theft pt. II)'. This song explains the second part of the story with the first half of the story being expressed in 'Identity Theft Pt. 1' which was on a previous LP release. The grimmy and dark production of this song fits the genre of the situation in the track perfectly. Rino spits as hard as ever in this classic track. This song and album are argubly his greatest works yet.

K-Rino must be known by more. Please spread the name so that this AMAZING and EPIC MC gets what he deserves, and thats respect in the rap game. Buy this!!!!!!

Funny how people with Hip Hop knowledge and legends like Scarface, DJ Premier, Bun B, Killer Mike, Z-Ro, Gangxster Nip, Trae Tha Truth, Willie D, Chamillionaire, Canibus and many others respect and admire K-Rino. Yet the internet nerd with obsessions and mental disorders hate lol...

Those of you whom have followed my work as a writer (Drah Cenedive) are probably familiar with my high support of K-Rino. On several occasions I have even quoted his work in the 2Pac Lives interviews. If you like to hear the most "conscious-minded" influential "rapper" in the game listen to K-Rino's mind, his wisdom, and his "spiritual" lyrics. With some much to offer to our minds and spirits you will never lose by purchasing the music. K-Rino will probably go down in the history books as the most intelligent/clever rap/recording artist to ever live and his work will be studied for years to come. K-Rino's music is equilavent to collectible archives of divine history re-written. K-Rino is "truly ahead of his time"!

Like all the best footballers come from brazil and you have never heard of them before they come to our shores. this is how best to describe K-rino's ability. everyone has their different opinions but let's not loose focus of what it's all about....Hip-Hop that is

This review is from: Book Number 7 (Audio CD)
We can get right down to it and say that Rino's BOOK NUMBER 7 delivers, once again, a fascinating and "beyond" powerful album. From the outset one thing is clear: this is not your Book with Seven Seals type oratorio. 17 tracks...no, 17 "audiophonic" raw diamonds are polished and refined by the man's lyrics and flow. Shaped over the past 20 years in the rap capital of Houston, they are second to none in the genre of Rhyme. Book No. 7 is clear evidence of that. And so our favorite word magician shines -- in his trademark fashion -- with knife edge lyrics and meticulously crafted concept songs like "Imagination" and "Amnesia" or gets snotty and in your face with "Overkill", "Line for Line" or "No Let Up". Right on target and with just the right amount of social criticism, Rino fires off a perfectly aimed missile in "Raised in the Dead End" and "Pain and Betrayal" which penetrates into the shadow side of American life and the mainstream craziness of the music biz like a finely honed dart. Totally dope is the obligatory parade of our SPC-soldiers in the posse track "Multiple Choice Murders". We revel in Gangster Nips guest performance - long overdue -- with Rino on the feature track , "Takeover". Thanks to the fat production of Dope E and Mike B, and with major contributions from our man in Berlin, Keyza Soze, Book Number 7 is a true master work of art of rap. Thanks, Rino!

You disappoint me @The Ruler 09. Perhaps with more life experience you shall not be quick to fall for obvious traps like a mindless bear in the forest, or Montery Jack bringing his comrades into peril because of the enemies' exposure of his love of cheese.
