Empire strikes back
theres nothing wrong with cox even if he cant catch. in todays league ballhawks who cant cover are overrated and really have little use. ward was also supposed to be a ballhawk, but his man skills are awful.
His old agent screwed him over and so did his new oneoh and what safeties were there higher up ? dix doesnt look too great for packers either. this draft class wasnt good for safeties..
I agree tho, not paying brown peanuts was dumb. with that said rumors were he wanted to remain a starter when we couldnt guan ranted him that

Ward is really looking like dog doo doo.
Cox actually been the best corner, but if he caught yesterday picks in the endzone we might not lose that game, same with the game against the Bears, he catches any of them Cutler picks and we probably win
That's not neccissarily true. The 2 wild card teams are based on record, not division standing. So theoretically 3 teams from 1 division can make the playoffs.
I think the silver lining that we can look to is that the Niners are going to get better as the year goes on because we'll have players coming back. Really, we just need to maintain until then. I always that that if were were 6-3/5-4 when Aldon returened, we'd be okay and have a shot at the playoffs. Aldon's mere presence is enough to open up pass rush lanes for other people because of the resources teams have to dedicate to stopping Aldon.
What's disheartening is that Tank can't get any snaps. He was a beast pass rusher in college and right now we can't pressure anybody, yet he can't even be active on game days?
I think somebody else said it, but once Brock comes back, we can slide Cox to the nickle and stop this Jimmy Ward experience...cause it's not working at all. Coming into the game, he was leading the leauge in TD catches given up with 3. I know he at least added 1 more yesterday.
Another issue we're having is that we're dropping picks. We dropped like 3 against the Bears and dropped 2 yesterday (Wilhoite, Cox) that would've changed the game. We did win the turnover battle, but we can't keep dropping interceptions.
I liked the hurry up offense and the 5 wide receiver sets. I don't think any team has 5 DB's that can cover all 5 of our WR's. I think as the year goes on and we get healthier, this'll be a weapon we use more often. Kaep had career highs in attempts, completions and completion percentage against the Cards, so don't expect the 5 wides or hurry up offense to go away. I'm pretty sure we'll see it next week. It'll probably be with Vernon split out if he's healthy and ready to go.
Cox had the fifth best grade among all CBs so far this season.
Dude is ballin, and is the brightest spot in out secondary.
I said after that giants sb season a guy like him seems to have a shelf life . Is his issues with the executives that serious? If the replacement is a good coachwe have tons of talent.
I'm still not giving up on Harbs thoughway too early for that.
for two drives. But when as the cards (rightly) adjusted to that, Roman reverts back to his old
self and we look like we're trying random shyt on offense again. No rhythm whatsoever. nikka, what the fukk is your gameplan for that situation?? Any OC worth his ass will have a secondary plan with adjustments, and this dumb b*stard is sitting in the booth like
