:banderas:
Just watched the game on DVR, truth is Eli played that bad cause our D played that good.

They had CONSTANT pressure.

Lynch is really stepping up big, that bearhug shyt cracked me up, Eli looked like a freshman getting picked on by the seniors in the lunch line

i'll be shocked if bow plays a down this year. it's looking more and more like the team is gonna protect the investment

i'm glad that the whole ahmad brooks situation got handled and brooks is still on board. controlling chaotic situations is an area where harbs is at his best. harbs had every right to throw brooks under the bus after he complained about PT and got benched but instead harbs says that "we can't win a championship without ahmad brooks." that's amazing to me considering that the exact opposite happened with the browns/steelers this week

gonna be real interesting to see how the snaps at OLB shake out this sunday

As much as I`d like to see Bow back, even if just for motivational reasons, we might be better off with Wilhoite out there anyway. How long will it take Bow to get back into stride ya know

Harbaugh is a tremendous coach. Outside of X's and O's, the way he manages the team and the players on a weekly basis is a testament to how valuable he really is.

This season could have been a train wreck from jump, instead we're right in the thick of the playoff hunt with 6 games to go.

The picture above was from the Giants final offensive play of the first half. It was a limited pass rush with the 49ers protecting deep down the field. And yet, it is still amusing to see Aldon Smith getting triple-teamed. Over the course of the game, he was double- and triple-teamed fairly extensively. The Giants would send two offensive linemen at him, or they might send an offensive lineman and have a running back chip him as well.

Prior to Smith's return, Aaron Lynch's emergence resulted in him receiving some double teams each week. Now that Smith is back in the lineup, one of them is likely to see fewer double teams. And even if both get double-teamed, that potentially opens the middle of the line for a blitzing inside linebacker or safety. The return of Aldon Smith has just about guaranteed we will see improvement from the pass rush.

...Defensive coordinator Vic Fangio met with the media Thursday morning, and he provided some injury updates. He was asked specifically about Glenn Dorsey and NaVorro Bowman, and when they might return to action.

Fangio hinted that Dorsey probably will not play this week. He said medically Dorsey has been cleared to play, but he lacks that extra "oomph" to be ready to go. Fangio said Dorsey's status was similar to last week. The 49ers were required to activate him off the injured reserve this week, so they made the move.

My guess is he is inactive on Sunday, and Quinton Dial gets the start once again at nose tackle. Dial had some ups and downs against the Saints, but seemed to improve a bit against the Giants. New York spend a lot of time with 3+ wide receivers, while Washington spends more time with two receivers. Expect more opportunities for Dial this Sunday.

Fangio was asked about if Bowman return to practice next week. He said Bowman has a doctor's appointment on Friday, at which point they will get more feedback. Fangio did not believe Bowman was still feeling pain, but did not seem 100 percent certain. The team has until December 9 to make a decision on getting Bowman back to the 53-man roster.

FYI, CBS is carrying the game this week.

AD hasnt looked good all year. looked like shyt in pass pro and wasnt his dominant self in run pro
obviously doesnt help that boone has also looked like shyt most of the year but still.

still think hes the weakest link on the line besides our rookie center. iupati is shyt in pass pro too but hes a guard and his run blocking is elite.
when AD gets beat on a speed rush I sometimes find myself thinking Id rather see JMartin in there :why:

J Martin hasn't been that bad :manny:
He has a few rocky starts at the beginning of the season, but the line as a whole was a mess.

it kinda makes me nervous that the niners flew in dr andrews to talk to to bowman

:ohhh:

The latest [news] is Dr. [James] Andrews is flying into town today to meet with him," Niners coach Jim Harbaugh said.
The result of said meeting presumably will dictate Bowman's practice schedule next week.

"I think that's a good way to state it," Harbaugh said. "Don't think we're going too far on a limb to state that that would be the case."

Bowman had been observed earlier in the month working on change-of-direction drills.

"I saw him doing the same," Harbaugh said. "He's done the same routine."

All of which begs the question: Has Bowman suffered a setback?

"Not that I know of," Harbaugh said.
