D carried us in the regular season, but man it was pretty shytty in the playoffs, like you said it stepped up in the 2nd half of those games, but it put us in the holes in the first place.

Like ya said, Kaep's choices have fukked us. Crabs 3 times in a row, Crabs on Sherman, just really bad mistakes on the player, where if he doesn't make them Roman could be the guy to have 2 rings in a row.

Roman aint the best OC in the world, but i feel he is damn good and there just isn't a guy out there who i`d rather have at this point. Can't fire the guy when you got no one to take his spot.

Who could we promote Tomsula? Mangini? Rathman? I`ll pass on all 3
why are you putting it all on kaep ? do you really think roman had a set play and kaep audibled out 3 times to throw to crabs ?
I wouldnt say defense put us in the hole, against BAL it was a combo of special teams and bad secondary (culliver and whitner being clowns) and against ATL it was bad defense..BUT...

but fact is offense also started out really slow in all of those games. its actually one of the reasons why Im still not terribly worried about preseason, because we start out really slow every time. thats on the OC, as are the delay of game penalties. first several drives are usually scripted plays

I put it on him because I`d put it on him if we won too.

If you recall the beginning of last year I thought dude was gonna be the best QB in the game.

I also put it on him because he has the most control over the game than anyone on our offense, at the end of the game he either makes the throws or doesn't and he's had the opportunity to be the hero and hasn't done so yet.

um, ok
I dont agree with that at all
but then I dont hold qbs as the most important position on the field :manny:

fact is roman shyt the bed way before kaep was even a starter...and hasnt really done anything since then. almost against any good D we look like shyt

I completely agree. I believe that our d single handedly kept us from being a 10-6 team that year or worse. Not to mention if we couldn't run (thank god for green bay) we couldn't do shyt if we couldn't force a to. It irked me to no end that we wouldn't call a decent screen or spread teams out to keep them from loading the box on us.

somewhere between a pair of D cup tiddies
when i read this thread earlier this week it sounded grim in here. are ya'll shootin for a wildcard this year.....?
i mean, all bias aside, is this is what is hopeful for ya'll ?
saints, falcons, panthers, hawks......
someone isn't winning, someone is getting them wild cards.

i'm worried about the seahawks and only the seahawks

we've beaten every team consistently in the nfc except them... people want to put them so above us but they are not... we beat them at our house... they beat us at theirs.. and the last few games were all close

how that matchup goes, and who wins home field, is who will determine the nfl

everyone else is just good to me... they COULD have some surprise win in the playoffs, but i wouldn't count on any of them

i'm stuffin all sorts in here, obviously.
why mention the falcons ?? because if pete didn't ice your kicker hawks would have played for 2 straight nfc champs.
that right there may have been the first back to back since brady in 03-04.
you got something noteworthy to mention ??
if not :camby:

I'm sorry, but for all the praise the Seattle defense gets, the defense is what lost you the game against the Falcons in 2012. The Hawks had the lead with their biggest asset on the field (the defense) and all they had to do was stop the Falcons from scoring WITH 25 SECONDS LEFT TO GO IN THE GAME. Bottom line is they couldn't get it done and didn't deserve to win.
Fast forward a week, and the Niners were in the same predicament, only the defense was able to stop the Falcons from scoring.

Point blank, the Niners were the better team in 2012; The Seahawks were the better team in 2013.

Seahawks had a weak pass rush that year, and with Clemons out from the Redskins game, Matt Ryan had all day to throw.
