I've been following his story since it was published and this cut me to the root. Human beings are not meant to be in solitary confinement for extended periods of time, it almost always causes a psychotic break. They stole vital years from him and sadly broke his spirit.
In 3 years sitting in prison his parents did not save enough money to hire him a private attorney.
They failed their son.
