I don't believe for a damn second that French Montana played a major role in the production of this song :mjlol:

No way in fukking hell French know bout Paul McCartney enough to pick out that sample. Nope. Dont believe it.

Its a dope ass sample tho. Ye delivery was weak tho. Wish he brought the fury he did in the live performance.

Thing is, Kanye's process is so complex (& the fact that he's been on his Rock Star shyt lately, working with cats like Paul, Elton, etc...) that it's possible French just produced the "skeleton" of the beat, the drum patter, basic melody, etc...and Ye and his team added in the bridge/intro/outro from the Paul McCartney sample. Don't get me wrong, I'm fairly sure French covered the basics, but as with anything Kanye-album related, it was a LOT of collaborating going on.

This instrumental remake tho :banderas:

kanye trying to get his old black fans over with this one, I can smell the desperation seeping through the speakers. Song is ignorant trash, I heard it once and never want to hear it again

Like you said, French probably had a rough draft beat Kanye re-worked into this release version. It's like how he re-did the Sanctified beat @ 1:25. He took a generic Mustard beat, paced it down to a slow roll, and it really made the sample and drums shine a lot brighter and made the song way less generic.

Gotta give Kanye credit.. one hell of a sample..

I saw McCartney listed as a feature and the whole time I'm listening thinking "what in the fukk could he have contributed to this song" :francis:

After figuring out what Kanye did with the melody :ohhh:

The lyrics are :manny: to me but I do find it interesting that Paul let Kanye rework his melody into such an aggressive song

After that live performance he might as well go back and rerecord it.
There was way more energy during the performance.
