Because policy issues and political opinions aside, Trump is uniquely unqualified for the job. It just came out that he realized he has to re-staff the entire west wing. He just assumed the people working there would still be there when he got in. When Obama told him what's actually required, and that he won't just get to hang out in New York and do the job from afar, he was stunned.

Even setting aside that, he's got narcissistic personality disorder. He has thin skin. He's petty. He holds grudges. He has asked questions and failed to answer questions that both indicate he has almost no grasp of what it takes to run the country, and he's put forth some absolutely terrifying ideas.

Hillary is pretty awful. She's a hawk, she is bought and paid for, she is not authentic, and everything she says is carefully crafted from focus groups. She's so unlikable..but she is a smart woman and she is less likely to drive American civilization over a cliff.

Most of the people that liked Trump liked him because he wasn't PC, he promised to rebuild the middle class, and he fed into the populist anger that's going on. People wanted an anti-establishment candidate so bad that they were willing to elect a bigot just to get something different. It really shows how much the DNC fukked up by forcing Hillary on everyone when Bernie was clearly the better choice.
