Rapper plans to release follow-up to good kid, m.A.A.d City this year. Kendrick announced that he's got between 30 and 40 songs ready to go for the new LP, which he plans to drop before the end of this year. In addition to TDE in-house producers Tae Beast and Sounwave, Lamar's as-of-yet untitled effort will feature production from Dr. Dre (the rapper told Complex he's "flirting with ideas" for its title).

To me he gave the fans enough time to miss him before coming back again..Kendrick isn't one of those "hold down every summer" type emcees that needs an anthem like Meek..If you listen to GKMC it feels like it took a lifetime to make...

I'll take quality over quantity any day. Life After Death was released 3 years after Ready To Die and the anticipation that built was pitch perfect...Nothing wrong with living your life so you'll actually have something new to talk about... Meek and Wayne can drop albums every week.. That's light work when your subject matter is your watch and your dikk..

This is good news.

I can't believe I slept on this guy for so long, I thought he was just another overhyped rapper but I can't front anymore, them albums section 80 & good kid are absolutely amazing, they've been in rotation for weeks now.

I know this will be an unpopular opinion but GKMC didnt do too much for me. I am anticipating this effort though. Hopefully its dope.

And I have pretty much lost all faith in Dr. Dre production
