NO child should be taught that the math, science, government, democracy, poetry, philosophy, engineering, literature, and other disciplines BEGAN in Greece and/or Rome.
NO child should be taught that the Civil Rights Movement began when Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat on a bus in Montgomery, Alabama in 1955.
NO Child should have ALL or MOST of their lessons about the Civil Rights Movement be about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
NO child should be ONLY taught about integration and desegregation as forms of protest against racism.
NO child should graduate from high school without understanding the significance of Marcus Garvey, W.E.B. DuBois, and Malcolm X.
NO Child should graduate from school and NOT understand that Martin Luther King Jr. said and did MORE than a "I Have A Dream Speech" and a bus boycott.
NO child should be taught that Thanksgiving is ONLY about a harvest festival meal that the "Pilgrims" had with the Wampanoag, or "Indians."
NO Child should be taught that Mexico had no history until the Spanish showed up.
NO Child should be taught that the "Americas" or the "New World" had no history until the REAL AMERICANS (whites from Europe) showed up.
NO Child should be taught that "locks" or other natural hairstyles are AGAINST the school dress code, or are "inapppropriate."
NO child should be punished by school staff when they REJECT the myths and lies that are frequently taught to them.
NO child should go to a school that is in an area rich in history and KNOW nothing or next to nothing about the history of the place in WHICH they live.
No Child should go to school IN MICHIGAN and NOT know the history of the Odawa, the Potawatomie or the Anishanaabe people.
NO children should go to school IN or NEAR Detroit and NOT know the history of Black people in Detroit, including Detroit slavery and white slaveowners, the Underground Railroad, Black Bottom, Paradise Valley, Ossian Sweet, the Detroit 1943 riot, the 1967 Rebellion, the birth of the Nation of Islam, the Republic of New Afrika, the Shrine of the Black Madonna, and the political importance of Coleman A. Young.
