That sounds nice and all, except for the fact that a “supermax” would’ve been worth a lot more in Cleveland than in Boston

Breh anyone who has been following kyrie has heard rumblings that dude had been wanting out of cleveland for awhile.

Even when he signed the first extension there were rumors his pops wanted him to leave. We have the story how his pops was mad that kyrie played on the bad knee in the 2015 playoffs. Then when his knee cap broke there were stories that his dad was going off on folks inside the cavs organization.

Even when he was drafted there were running jokes about draft night and how he looked pissed Cleveland drafted him.

So I was never surprised he wanted to leave. He and his dad have always felt that Kyrie needed to be in a bigger market. And even today in this era there are still more perks to being in a bigger market. Especially playing for the 1st or 2nd most well known/historical team in the NBA.

All of that is irrelevant. The point was that if money was the primary motivator he left a lot more money on the table on his next contract by leaving Cleveland since they could thereotically offer him the 35% max instead of 30

I take back what I said in the Lilliard vs Irving thread.:hubie:

The most important stat is availability. Irving may be a better shooter and finisher, but the margin isn't large enough to overcome his annual injury.

It's kind of sad to see Curry and him deal with injury bug so often.

On the other hand, it's kind of poetic that this happens after that stunt he pulled with the Cavs. Trade you or you'll have season ending surgery!? Well....

Don't ever put this nikka name in the same sentence as La Heem Lillard ever again when he hasn't played a full basketball season since his 10th grade year in HS.

La Heem doesn't get hurt and would have been there for Bron in 2015 and they would have won.

Don't think for one second Dame wouldn't have hit that shot as well over Steph.

Mea culpa:whoa:
