there is a very minute chance this fellow becomes Dame Lilliard.
There is a surplus of small bucket getter guards in the league. we've had like 5 of them on this team the past couple years. For that archetype to be worth a top 4 pick in this draft they would have to be transcendent offensively, which is possible but why take that chance they aren't? you literally could go sign Peyton watson to run the 2 and take one of these forwards and that is a wayyyyy more solid construction for a team.
There are less stretch 4s with playmaking ability, or 7 foot athletic freaks who profile mimics KG.
NBA scouts definitely know more than me. Those aforementioned forwards are mocked ahead of the guard you want to take though so what are you even trying to argue here breh

If he's centering players like that and allowing those kinds of guys to prevent him from going after potential upgrades it'll be a early sign of ineptitude.
